Espresso 3 - Unita' 5 - Invito alla lettura
If you missed the lesson mercoledi' 7 ottobre - this is what we covered:
- we began with a revision of la forma passiva [see attachment] and then in pairs completed esercizio 8, pagina 58
- then, to prepare for a listening exercise we revised the passato remoto [see attached] followed by checking understanding of vocabulary at the top of pagina 59 - personaggi [characters],luoghi [settings], cose, astratte o no [abstract or concrete things]
- to practise listening you may either listen to a reading of the fairy tale [track 13 of CD] or read the attached and answer the questions in ENGLISH [also attached] - you may bring your work to class for marking if you wish
- finally, to revise telephone conversations and making/dealing with complaints we revised correct phrases to use [top of pagina 40] under columns 'protestare/reclamare' and 'scusarsi/giustificarsi' - the scenarios are: write a dialogue between a customer and a client services officer [unita' 3, esercizio 14, pagina 40] in which:
1. the client complains about a gift ordered online which was received too late
2. the client complains that the item ordered was not the right colour
3. the client complains that the items arrived in a broken pack and were consequently damaged
Remember to use suitable words for starting and ending a telephone conversation - see top of pagina 51 - this exercise is suitable for exam revision!
