- Practised verb tenses in passato prossimo and imperfetto by completing exercise 7 Una vacanza in un villaggio page 154 and exercise 9 Una telefonata page 155. These excerpts were also used as a listening exercise (Rosella read the pieces and students answered questions on the content to check for understanding)
- Listened to and then read the dialogue pagina 61 esercizio 1 Vorrei qualche informazione - focus was on identifying use of verb volerci (see handout below)
- checked which phrases in the text are used to: find out something, ask how one reaches a destination, ask about the duration of a journey, ask about price (see handout below)
- in pairs, worked out a dialogue based on information pagina 62 esercizio 2 In un agenzia di viaggi. Character 'A' is in Milano but wants to go on holiday and asks a travel agent how to reach the destinations: Isola d'Elba, Capri, Cagliari. Character 'B' is a travel agent who provides information based on the table showing arrivals and departures (see handout below)
- Homework: write a brief description (approx. 150 words) on your childhood (racconta della tua infanzia...) - see suggestions on handout below (feel free to email your work to Rosella for marking)
- lesson ended on a musical note - listening to the song 'Una lacrima sul viso' and identifying grammar points discussed over recent lessons
