If you missed the lesson mercoledi' 4 settembre - here is a summary of what was covered:
- we began by going back over what had been covered the week before ie: the use of 'ci' and the direct object pronouns 'lo, la, li, le' and the verb 'avere' - focus (see handout) was on use of 'ci' and possession eg: hai il passaporto? Si', ce l'ho (I have 'it') - however: if I'm referring to a past action eg: hai portato il passaporto? Si' l'ho portato (remembering that past participle ending needs to match in number and gender - possibilities are: portato, portata, portati, portate)
- next, in Espresso 2 pagina 50 (esercizio 11) we read text on good behaviour and good manners in public places and underlined the phrases matching the 5 pictures - then reinforced understanding by completing vero/falso exercise in handout
- then on the handout we noted the polite way of describing what one should do, how one is expected to behave......the answers provIded by the class are filled in
- then a bit of grammar - see explanation of 'che' and 'cui' in handout followed by completing esercizio 12 pagina 51
- finally, revised use of gerundio using play cards (attached to handout) - practised in pairs eg: mangiare un gelato - sto mangiando un gelato
