Espresso 3 - Unita' 4 - Parole, parole, parole...
Rosella was away this week however the class was taken by Dr Stefano Girola and the following was covered:
-the theme of communicating through media continued with esercizio 3, pagina 44 - after reading the content 'un mondo che si parla per email' - test comprehension by completing the exercises on pagina 45 as well as esercizio 1, pagina 136. [note the use of 'basta' + infinitive - meaning 'e' sufficiente' eg: baste ripassare la lezione per imparare nuove parole]
-this new chapter also focuses on the new 'SMS' language used in communicating eg: x = per. Try and work out the meaning of the message top of page 44:

-see attached 'il linguaggio SMS' and complete the exercise
-this lesson also introduced the use of a new verb form 'il congiuntivo imperfetto' - see explanation attached
-practise using congiuntivo imperfetto by completing esercizio 5 pagina 4 and esercizi 2, 3, 4, pagine 136, 137, 138
-finally the song 'Se telefonando' by Mina was used to observe the congiuntivo imperfetto in action - see song attached and try identifying where this tense appears
