If you missed the lesson mercoledi' 28 maggio, here is what we covered:
- We began by reading esercizio 9 Tempo di Sport pagina 2 - then underligned all the phrases that contained a verb forms in the imperativo. These correspond to the first page of handout [see below] where we completed the verb table by filling in the tu, Lei and voi forms of the imperativo.
- in pairs, we then read the 'Nel testo si dice che...' [still pg 1 of handout] and filled in si'/no
- on 2nd pg of handout, and still using the information from the reading, we filled in the blanks with the appropriate adjectives remembering to change the endings according to gender and number)
- esercizio 11 pagina 3 Lei fa sport? followed - see 2nd page of handout where we filled in answers to the questions and then practised an asking and answering dialogue eg: Hai mai fatto sport? Si' ho sempre fatto sport.....mi piace fare il jogging, lo yoga...etc.
- a listening exercise followed [esercizio 12, pg 3 Il tempo e' solo una scusa!] where we first identified the speakers and then what they were discussing. After practising the dialogue, we completed the si'/no exercise on pg 83
- on pg 4 of handout we chose a character [either 'tu' or 'il tuo amico/ la tua amica'] - read the context of each character and then worked out a dialogue [based on the previous listening transcript]
- after revising the comparatives and superlatives buono, migliore, ottimo and bene, meglio, benissimo we completed esercizio 10 in handout
- finally, last exercise in handout was to be completed for homework: find 20 words [in spiral form] related to the current unit - the unused letters should spell a synonym of the sport basket
